What is a 3PL?

3PL is an abbreviation for Third-Party Logistics. In warehousing terms, it means that from storing of products to their shipment is the responsibility of the warehouse. Normally, importers use this service to save costs and efficiently manage inventory. However, once the order is delivered to a warehouse, it becomes a liability. Therefore, they label and pack it, sort the boxes, check inventory, stack them properly and ship it to their destination when the time comes. Since everything is professionally monitored, 3PL is a cheap and reliable solution for importers.
