What is the difference between strip and blister packaging?
Blister packaging is processed with plastic. It is made by vacuum adsorption on the surface of the mold after heating softens the flat plastic material by heating and then cooling and molding. Blister packaging is widely used in electronics, electrical appliances, hardware tools, cosmetics, toys, daily necessities, automobiles, and other industries that require packaging.
Blister packaging is generally made of PET material. PET has good toughness, high transparency, easy to burn, and does not produce harmful gases when burned, which is an environmentally friendly material.
Blister packaging can be made into the following common types.
1. Insert card type
Card-insertion packaging refers to a packaging form in which a card and a folded transparent blister are inserted together. Its characteristic is that it does not require any equipment during packaging, and only requires workers to put the product, blister, and paper card in place. In this process, it should be noted that the size of the card must match the blister, otherwise the paper card will be deform or fall out. In addition, when the product is too heavy, staples should be used to fix the paper card and the blister at a certain position.
2. Hot pressing blister packaging
This kind of packaging is made by pressing the card and the blister together with a hot pressing machine. Blister mold is required which is more costly than the plug-in blister.
A set of hot-pressing molds generally cost 600-1000RMB. A hot pressing machine can hold 3 molds, a complete package can be completed in about 15 seconds.
3. High-frequency sealed packaging
If it is made of pressure blister and card, the blister is environmentally friendly. The card must be used with environmentally friendly varnish instead of the ordinary blister varnish, otherwise, the high-frequency machine cannot complete the sealing work.
It is mainly used for the molding of various plastic products, and automatically cuts the edges of different shapes. It is suitable for PVC double-sided blister sealing, blister, and paper card sealing. Mold costs are also required, the general mold cost is 600-1000 yuan.
This kind of seal is better than that of hot-pressed packaging. Hot-pressed packaging will automatically crack at high temperatures, while high-frequency packaging won’t.
The main advantages of blister packaging include: saving raw and auxiliary materials, lightweight, convenient transportation, good sealing, and meeting the requirements of environmentally friendly green packaging. It’s suitable for any special-shaped products, without additional cushioning materials for packing. The packaged products are transparent and visible, good for sales. It is also suitable for mechanized and automated packaging, which facilitates modern management, saves manpower, and improves efficiency.
