Case study | How does the factory manufactur Bluetooth speakers?
Each Bluetooth speaker has different production processes according to different structures, different functions, and different test procedures. Bluetooth speakers refer to audio equipment with built-in Bluetooth chips that replace traditional wire connections with Bluetooth connections. Connecting with Bluetooth playback devices such as mobile phones, tablets, and notebooks is convenient and quick.
The simple production and assembly of Bluetooth speakers can be divided into the following steps:
1. Make PCBA:
① PCB production: PCB is an important electronic component, support for electronic components, and a carrier for electronic components’ electrical connection. Because it is made by electronic printing, it is called a “printed” circuit board;
②SMT (SMT): SMT mounter installs chips, resistors, capacitors, inductors and other components on the PCB in order;
③Plug-in (DIP): The PCB is pasted, and the plug-in is pulled up for the plug-in process. DIP will be subdivided into the plug-in, pressing, immersion tin, and other processes;
④ Post-soldering (repair soldering): After the plug-in is pulled up, the circuit board after tin immersion and some electronic components have not been tinned well, then post-soldering is needed to solve it.
⑤Test: Pass the production of supporting test tools. Test the bare board. If there is no problem with the test, proceed to the next process. If the test fails, repair it to the repairman;
2. Production of audio shell:
① Production shell (box): plastic material is injection molded through a mold
②Printing LOGO: After injection molding, the plastic parts are sprayed with oil. After spraying, they need to be baked. After the paint is dried, silkscreen and hot stamping are performed.
3. Combination:
Assemble speakers, circuit boards, and accessories;
4. Testing and audition;
①Test circuit performance and safety requirements
②Test sound effects and appearance
5. Packing and stacking.
①Pack the finished products according to customer requirements. For example, color box packaging;
②Labeling: stick barcodes and price stickers on products according to customer requirements;
③Put the products into cartons according to the packing specifications and pack them for easy transportation.
The above is the entire speaker production process. Many buyers think that the supplier will complete the entire process from PCBA production to packaging alone. In fact, this is not the case. Usually, after receiving the order, the factory will not complete the entire process from PCBA production to packaging alone. . Most factories will only be responsible for some of these links, and other links will be outsourced to other suppliers.
The specific operation depends on the scale of the project because the size of the factory determines the production links the factory is responsible for:
After receiving an order, a small factory is usually only responsible for a small part of the production process (assembly + testing + packaging). Other links (PCBA production, shell production, battery, speaker, and logo printing) are outsourcing. Outsourcing refers to purchasing from a factory that specializes in this part.
How to distinguish the difference between a large factory and a small factory?
The medium-sized factories complete most of the links themselves: shell + LOGO printing + assembly + testing + packaging.
Outsourcing: PCBA + battery + speaker + packaging materials
Large factories are responsible for the core links: shell + PCBA + LOGO printing + assembly + testing + packaging + labor.
Unimportant parts are usually made by a cooperating factory or small factory: battery + speaker + label + carton, usually without technical content.
Of course, large factories do not exclude all production and design by themselves. Because large factories have their own advantages, both technology and manpower are definitely better than small factories.
Therefore, suppliers always include the production time and expectations of all products when quoting and delivering. In case the delivery time is not up to date. If you want a short delivery time, it is best to confirm with the supplier or contact the trader directly.
