1. Double quotes
Placing a search word in double-quotes means that the search results return a page containing all the words that appear in double quotes, even in the correct order. Both Baidu and Google support this directive. For example: “Hair extension”
Hair Extension must be an exact match from a search point of view, not a general search. Using double quotes allows you to find specific keywords for your competitors more accurately.
2. Minus sign
Sometimes do not want to see the results of some of the key words, then you can use the command to eliminate the minus sign. For example, if you want to see an apple phone and not a movie about apple, then the minus sign is effective.
The minus sign (-) represents a search for a page that does not contain the word after the minus sign. To use this command, the minus sign must be preceded by a space. There is no space after the minus sign, followed by the word to be excluded. Both Google and Baidu support this directive. For example, an apple-movie returns the result that contains the word “apple, ” but not the word “movie. ”
3. inurl
LinurlL: The directive is used to search for the page in which the query appears in the URL. Both Baidu and Google Support Inurl. The INURL directive supports both Chinese and English.
For example, a search for: Iiurl: Hair extension returns a page containing “hair extension” in the URL. Since keyword presence in the URL has some effect on rankings, INURL: Search can be used to find competitors more accurately.
4. inanchor
Inanchor: The result of the instruction is to import the page that contains the search term in the link anchor text.
For example, in Google Search: Inanchor: Clicking here returns results that do not necessarily contain the word “click here, ” but rather the word “click here” appears in the link anchor text that points to those pages.
It can be used to find competitors for a keyword, and these competitors are often done SEO. You can find a lot of link resources by studying what external links are on your competitors’ pages.
5. intitle
Intitle: The directive returns the page title that contains the Keyword. Both Google and Baidu support the intitle directive.
Files found using the intitle directive are more accurate for competing pages. If the keyword appears only in the visible text of the page, but not in the title, most of the time it’s beacuse the competitor didn’t optimize for the keyword, so it’s not a serious competitor.
6. filetype
Used to search for a specific file format.
Both Google and Baidu support the filetype directive. For example, a search for filetype: PDF hair extension returns all PDF files containing the keyword hair extension.
Google supports all indexable file formats, including PDF, doc, xls, ppt, RTF, HTML, PHP, etc. .
7. site
Site: is the most familiar SEO advanced search command, used to search a domain name under all the files. For example, querying site:anker.com shows all pages of the domain name anker.com
8. related
Related: The directive applies only to Google and returns a page associated with a Web site. Search related: anker.com, for example, and you’ll get other pages that Google thinks are related to the site.
These advanced search commands can be used alone to find a lot of resources or to more accurately target competitors. The combination of these commands is even more powerful.
